Anaheim!

We have a job! We have been so blessed this past week. After Platinum Protection stabbed Nick in the back, Elite Security offered us a job. Nick will be a co-manager this summer in Anaheim, CA. It's a small step backwards from where he was, but there is major potential for advancement in the next year. In fact, he will be better off in the next couple of years than if we stayed with Platinum. We feel so grateful that we have this opportunity when so many people are struggling. This is going to be a good summer for us! Come visit us in the sun and the sand!

Again...Really?

Well, about 2 hours ago we found out that we are no longer moving to St. Louis, MO. Instead we will be spending the summer in Chicago. I should probably be more excited about it than I am but I am just a little stressed about it. We have less than a month before we move and they spring this on us. We lived there a couple years ago and I guess I was looking forward to living somewhere new, not to mention I had my whole summer planned out already. Sorry for the venting...I guess I better get planning.

Anything new?

Nope...not really. There isn't much going on right now for us. Nick is working hard in school, trying to finish everything up. He graduates in April and we are both so excited! We are also getting anxious to move and get the summer going. We leave in about 5 weeks and I am already making lists of things I can't forget this time.
On a different note... I think I am going to go back to school sometime this year. I don't really know what my major will be yet though (just something I can get online probably). Nick was so excited to not have to pay tuition anymore...oh well. :)
Last weekend we went to Logan for spring break. It was nice to get to spend some time with my family, especially Andy. The weather was nice (I got a little sunburned!) and we ate some good food too! My dad is an amazing cook and he has been using his smoker/ BBQ thing and everything comes out so yummy.
We look forward to spending some time with Nick's family this weekend. Hopefully it will warm up some and the snow will go away! I really like the sun!

4.What does he do that surprises you?
He surprises me with little things like doing the dishes and every once in a while he'll do something big like surprise me with a wedding band!

Definitely his eyes! My favorite thing though is when he smiles and his eyes smile too!

This is hard! I'd have to say the fact that he is laid back and so chill all the time. He never gets worked up, which is good because I do. It's a good balance!
7. Does he have a nickname for you?
Yes. It's what my mother called me when I was little and I have always been teased by boys growing up because of it. Nick started saying it when we were engaged and it became something sweet, not so embarassing. It's Pooter. I know, weird!
8.What is his favorite food?
He doesn't really have a favorite. He just loves food! He loves Pizza though. He could eat it everyday! Not me, I'm not a fan of it.

He is not a sports fan. He did play water polo and was on the swim team in high school.

Outside of my apartment, 4 days after we met. It was my first kiss and I was shocked it was so soon!

Nick is a really good artist and I think he is a pretty good singer. Nick would say he's not though.

He loves Country, which is good because that's all we can agree on in the car.

I'm a Slacker!

I can't believe it's been over a month since I blogged last! I have to admit the appeal of doing something fun and new like blogging is slowly wearing off. Sad, I know. I'll try to keep things updated though.

Well, this last month was so busy with it being the holidays. I'm sure all of you know how that goes. We spent Christmas with my family this year. My Mom's sister and her family came from Washington for Christmas. We did lots of fun things together. It was fun to spend so much time with family that I don't get to see very often. We also got to talk to Andrew in Canada! He sounds so Canadian now! He tries to hold it back when he talks to us cause we think it's so funny! After Christmas and my little brother's birthday, we headed home for some much needed alone time and space. We celebrated Nick's Dad's birthday too. We hung out at our house for a few days before heading to little ol' Lynndyl for New Years. We had a family New Years Eve party with games, food and fireworks! That was fun.

Since New Years we have just been hanging out at home enjoying our time together before Nick had to go back to school today. It's his last semester ever though and we are so excited! Sorry there aren't any pictures from the last month. I'll have to get some from family. Well, onto a new year!

I know I had a great week! It started with my birthday on Monday and I got a great surprise!
A new wedding ring! We had some problems with my other one. I absolutely love it! Nick is great with surprises and is so romantic! I just got it back because it had to be re-sized and now it fits perfect!

Onto Thanksgiving...we went to Nick's family's house in Lynndyl. We had lots of fun and got to spend some quality time with them. Hope you had a great thanksgiving!
